VOORHEES, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American
Water (NYSE: AWK), the nation’s largest publicly traded water and
wastewater utility company, today announced that its President and CEO Susan
Story will deliver the keynote address at Auburn University for two
graduation ceremonies on Saturday, May 5.
“When I graduated from Auburn, I wanted more than anything else to make
a difference. To do something that pushed me, stretched me, and allowed
me to matter on a broader scale,” said Story. “And today at American
Water, I lead a team of 7,000 people who provide a necessity of life
every day to 15 million people across the United States. To me, making a
difference is leading a team of extraordinary people doing amazing work.
It’s about being bigger than our bottom line—investing in people,
communities, and what really matters in the long run.”
Story, who graduated from Auburn University in 1981 with a B.S. in
industrial engineering, will speak at both Saturday ceremonies. A 10
a.m. ceremony will be held for the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering
